Open publishing is the theme at the end of October during the international Open Access Week. In accordance with the theme University Library will open a pop up café on
- Wednesday 24 October at 11.00-13.00 in the ground floor lobby of Linna building and on
- Thursday 25 October at 11.00-13.00 in the first floor lobby of Arvo building, in front of the Library.

Library’s Open Access Guide
Come and learn how to create a data management plan for Academy of Finland September 2018 call by participating the Library’s workshop!
Each session will have a short introduction to data management and to Academy of Finland guidelines. DMPTuuli data management planning tool will be utilized in the workshops. In these sessions, you can ask for assistance from the specialists of the University Library, Finnish Social Science Data Archive and IT services.

Library’s Research Data Guide
It’s still time to enrol in Managing Research Information online course until 28 February. On this course you can update your information management skills for the benefit of your own research. The themes are information seeking, measuring impact or visibility of research, managing research data and open science.
The course (2 ETCS) can be completed online between 5 March and 8 April 2018 and the teaching language is English. The course, organized by Tampere University Library, is aimed primarily at doctoral researchers but other researchers as well.

Library’s Guides for information management
Academy of Finland requires every applicant to provide a data management plan (DMP) as a part of the application for the September 2017 call. University Library offers a workshop where you can get tips and advice about how to create a compact DMP.
The same workshop is available both on the Main campus and on Kauppi kampus:

- Wed 13 September 14.15-15.45 Linna library, Main campus, classroom Elina (3022, 3rd floor)
