The last seasonal school of the 2015 intake in the CBIR double degree programme will take place in St. Petersburg 21 – 25 November 2016. The School of International Relations of the St. Petersburg State University will host the Winter School, see http://sir.spbu.ru/en/.
The Winter School consists of a CIMO-funded FIRST Intensive Course on The EU-Russia Conflict after 2014: Implications for the Baltic Sea Region and Master’s thesis seminars for double degree students. In addition, there will be visits to the Finnish Consulate in St. Petersburg and the Finnish Institute in St. Petersburg, see http://instituutit.fi/en/institutes/finnish-institute-in-saint-Petersburg/ .
The intensive course discusses topics such as The Future of the relations between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union, The implications of the EU-Russia conflict for Finnish and Swedish foreign and security policies, Transboundary water management on the borders between Russia and the European Union, Impact of the Russia-EU conflict on cross-border cooperation in the region, The Future of EU-Russia Relations.
