Objectivity, art and optical illusions: filmmaking in university teaching

The connections between filmmaking, spaces of justice and feminist epistemologies were explored at a seven-day art-research workshop “Politics of Sexuality and Gender” organized by the Kone foundation funded research project Making Spaces of Justice Across the East-West Divide at the University of Tampere. The workshop was also a site to experiment with filmmaking as a university pedagogical method.

Предметом обсуждения стали вопросы связи времен, важности сохранения исторической памяти и трансформации памяти в творчестве русской эмиграции Финляндии; артефакты семейных хроник, передача традиций из поколения в поколение; праздники, которые отмечают мигранты из России; культура как еда, предметы и вещи в иммиграции; художественные и non foction тексты русской эмиграции; образы заграницы в воспоминаниях соловецких узников; возможности интеграции мигрантов из республик СССР и другие.
