Break in Library service’s remote access 23 March from 16:00

There will be a break in remote access to Library’s Andor search service and information resources on Thursday 23 March from 16:00 onward. During the break it is possible to access the Library’s e-books, e-journals, articles and databases only on the University’s computers. The reason for the break is change of the remote access server. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The break should be over by 22:00, but there may be breaks in accessing individual databases or e-journals even on Friday. Please inform us immediately about possible problems with e-resources e.g. via feedback form.

On the same day between 17:00 and 22:00 the University IT Services maintains its servers. This will also cause breaks in the University’s web services. The future dates of the monthly maintenance breaks can be seen on the Maintenance breaks web page on the University intranet.

Library’s remote access instructions

Please note: Break in library system today 17 February from 20:00

There will be a break in library system because of maintenance work today on Friday 17 February from 20:00 onward. During the break it is not possible to log in to My Account, renew loans, make reservations, pay library fees or see the location information of printed resources.

The break should be over by 21:00 if the maintenance work proceeds as planned. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Update of the library system was completed

The update of the library system was completed today. You can log in to Andor again as usual, renew your loans, make reservations or pay your library fees. The availability information of printed resources in Andor is up to date. Also the self-service machines in the Library are in use.

Breaks in Library’s remote access because of server update

There will be breaks in the Library’s remote access of Andor service, databases and e-journals on Wednesday and Thursday mornings 21 and 22 December because of server update. The breaks may also complicate logging in to Andor’s My account with Haka alias the University’s user account.

One break lasts about half an hour but there may be several breaks during the morning.

Update of the library system affects online services at the end of December

The library system at Tampere University Library will be updated from 27 December at 22:00 onward. The update takes approximately 2-3 days but will be finished 5 January 2017 at the latest.

During the update

  • you cannot log in to Andor search service with your library card or renew your loans, make reservations or pay your library fees
  • you can use the search service of Andor as usual but not get the availability information of printed resources
  • in the Library you can borrow and return books at the Customer Service desk
  • in the Library you cannot use the self-service machines, renew your loans, make reservations or pay library fees.

Christmas and New Year season opening hours

Breaks in web services 14 November from 16.00

There will be breaks in the University’s and the Library’s web services from 16.00 onward on Monday, 14 November, that is the monthly maintenance window of the University IT Services.

In remote access login to Andor search portal and Andor library collections with University basic user account are not available during the breaks, so you cannot access e-resources and databases. If necessary, you can renew your loans and reserve books when you log in to Andor library collections with your library card (link: https://tamcat.linneanet.fi/), but the links to e-books will not work.

The University IT Service maintains its servers once a month on Monday between 16.00 and 20.00. The future dates of maintenance breaks can be seen on the Maintenance breaks web page on the University intranet.
