New and ‘old’ CBIR students together in the Winter School in St. Petersburg

For the first time in the history of the double degree programme in Cross-Border International Relations we had both first-year and second-year Master’s students attending the same seasonal school. There were Petrozavodsk, St. Petersburg and Tampere students of the 2017 intake and Tampere students of the 2018 intake. It worked very well and both groups found it rewarding to work together.

In addition to traditional lectures and research seminars, we visited  the Consulate General of Finland and German-Russian Exchange. At the Consulate, the students had an opportunity to give their presentations prepared in groups on a topic related to the link between higher education/academic cooperation and international relations. These wonderful, well-prepared presentations were commented by the Consulate personnel. We run out of time because there would have so much to discuss!

Thank you for all students, teachers and experts who contributed to the CBIR Winter School/FIRST intensive course “Education Cooperation in the European North”!
